If you are either unable to get an erection when sexually stimulated and/or lose it before ejaculation, you might have ED. People sometimes blame their failure to achieve an erection on fatigue, stress, or being under the heavy influence of alcohol. Should this occur repeatedly, you should consult your doctor. Most experts agree that a diagnosis of ED is appropriate only if the problem occurs repeatedly and frequently over a period of time.4
If you have difficulty getting or maintaining an erection, make an appointment with your doctor. He or she will evaluate your condition and advise you about treatment choices.
